REPORTS TO: Counselor

EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: Full-time. Exempt.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Houseparents use biblical values in modeling a healthy family as they care for the children residing in their home. They manage the home so as to create a therapeutic environment which facilitates the attainment of goals established when each child is accepted at the Ranch. Within a structured environment, they ensure a holistic approach to nurturing each child. Additionally, they develop a relationship with each child’s family and help assimilate them into the Ranch program.

The Home Parent position is one in which a couple is hired to move into one of our Temecula area group homes where they take up full-time residence as surrogate parental care-givers with the six children who are placed in that home for the couple to live with and care for.

Our children's home in Piedmont North Carolina, has openings for mission-minded married couples or indivuals, without dependent children, for its live-in Youth Support Professional (direct care) positions. Applicants must be over 21 with a high school diploma/GED or higher degree. In our program of care for children and youth who are placed in our care as victims of abuse and neglect, we use a professional, team-oriented, trauma-informed approach to provide a safe, healing, stable, homelike environment for our youth.
