The resident manager’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Leasing apartments

Cleaning common areas and hallways

Exterior maintenance and grounds maintenance including mowing, edging, gardening and snow shoveling.

Lease enforcement and tenant dispute resolution

Self Storage Management Team - San Diego, CA

Storage West  has an immediate opening for a facility management team at a San Diego area facility.

Each member of the 2 person team must submit a resume in order for the team to be considered for this position. The resident managers will share an onsite company provided apartment. Resident manager teams are responsible for the operation of the facility, including providing outstanding customer service, renting storage spaces, marketing our facility to the community, data entry, filing, answering and responding to telephone calls, banking, keeping the facility neat, clean, and organized, directing associate managers and more.

Experience working in the self storage industry or property management is a plus. Prior customer service experience is required. Must be friendly and outgoing, honest, organized, ability to accept constructive criticism, ability to learn and accept training, ability to work in an office and on the grounds, problem solver, and more. Some maintenance skills would be a plus. Computer skill is required.

Sustainable Community Members - California

I am looking for couples and individuals to help create a sustainable community of @ 10 people at my 150 acre motorcycle campground. Riding experience counts, but is not necessary. I need couples/individuals for the following aspects of this operation:Livestock care, gardening, building, office person, and mechanic. I currently have a bit of solar power, and am working on hydro from our stream. I have a full time manager, but need enough people to raise the requisite goats, fowl, etc, and harvest their products. I also need someone to do all of the paperwork involved, and keep records. I need a mechanic to fix bikes, cars, and buildings. I need 2 people to raise crops for us and the animals. Skills are important, but a positive attitude with long term goals is the most important attribute of people that I am looking for. I have some old RV's that can be fixed up to live in, and 4 cabins that can be fixed up. Helping to make the place you live prosper, is the key.This is a no cash job. I have invested heavily in getting to this point, and do not require any monetary input from anyone joining, but cannot pay anyone either, because all of my money already goes into the project. The way I look at it, I need to be sustainable, for the coming insecurities that will be caused by our government printing up too much non gold backed paper money. When a carton of milk, and a loaf of bread costs $10 each, the ones to survive well will have their own milk and grain production. This is my goal, and I invite you to join me. The best candidates have a base-line income of some sort, or can live cheaply without having to pay for housing and utilities. I will make sure no one starves, and together we can all have good lives, regardless of the society outside of our place.

RV Park Management Couple needed - Dallas/Fort Worth, TX

We are looking for a personable couple with a desire to manage, maintain, and improve our RV/Mobile Home Park.

Our park has a lot of growth potential and is located in the Arlington/Mansfield area between Dallas and Fort Worth. However, due to previous improper management, we would like to compensate a hardworking, honest, self-motivated couple with fresh ideas who achieve personal satisfaction from seeing something improve and grow as a result of their attention and nurturing.

Duties include some initial improvement work, maintenance of park, basic electrical knowledge, plumbing, record keeping, and customer service skills.

Compensation includes living rent free in a 2 bedroom/1 bath + study (study could be used as third bedroom as well) house with a 1 car carport. The house is approximately 1500 square feet with washer, dryer, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave included. Large front yard and a small side yard with storage shed, as well as a storage building across the street. Phone, wireless internet, water and trash pick-up are paid. Desktop computer with fax machine in the house to use for park management duties.

As the park improves from the couple's efforts, we are open to discussing additional compensation, which would include commission.
