Live-In Motel Management Couple - Southern Coast, OR

An established 38-room independent motel on the Southern Oregon Coast is seeking an experienced management couple for a long-term opportunity.

We are looking for a dependable, professional couple who enjoys hospitality and can take responsibility for the day-to-day operation and upkeep of a well-established property.

Compensation & Housing

Combined compensation: approximately $70,000 per year

2-bedroom private on-site apartment provided

Responsibilities can be divided according to each person’s experience and strengths

Responsibilities

The management couple will work together to maintain the property’s guest-service standards, cleanliness, appearance, and daily operations.

Guest Services & Front Desk

Oversee daily front-desk operations

Assist guests with check-in, check-out, reservations, and general inquiries

Handle guest concerns and resolve problems professionally

Maintain high standards of customer service

Monitor guest feedback and reviews

Housekeeping & Room Quality

Coordinate with housekeeping staff

Inspect rooms and common areas

Ensure rooms are clean, properly maintained, and ready for guests

Monitor housekeeping supplies and linen inventory

Identify and report maintenance issues

Maintenance & Property Operations

Monitor the condition of guest rooms, buildings, grounds, and equipment

Handle or coordinate routine maintenance and repairs

Coordinate with outside contractors when required

Perform basic maintenance when appropriate

Help maintain the property’s overall appearance and safety

Staff Management

Supervise and train employees

Assist with staff scheduling

Monitor employee performance and attendance

Maintain a professional working environment

Ensure company policies and procedures are followed

Administrative Responsibilities

Monitor daily operations

Work with ownership/management on operational matters

Review reservations and occupancy information

Monitor supplies and operating needs

Report significant guest, staffing, or maintenance issues

Ideal Candidates

Previous hotel, motel, resort, or hospitality management experience preferred

At least one person should have strong hotel/motel management experience

Experience supervising employees

Strong guest-service and communication skills

Organized, dependable, and hands-on

Maintenance experience is an advantage

Housekeeping experience is an advantage

Experience with hotel/motel property-management systems is an advantage

Willingness to relocate to Southern Oregon
