Employer FAQ

Account & Getting Started

Q: How do I post a job?

A: Click the "Employers" tab at the top of the page and select "Post Job." Log in (or create an account), make your posting type selection, complete the submission form, and submit your listing for review.

Q: Why can't I access the job submission form?

A: You may not be logged in, may not have created an account, or your account may not be categorized as an employer. If you need assistance, contact us and we'll update your account promptly.

Q: I forgot my password. What should I do?

A: Use the password reset link on the login page. If you continue to have trouble, contact us for assistance.

Q: How do I change my username, email address, password, or contact details?

A: Log in, click "My Account," then click "Edit." You can change your username, email address, and password there. Enter your email address again in the "Confirm e-mail address" box, enter your current password if you are changing your email address or password, and click "Save." To update your company name, contact person, phone number, or mailing address, click "Edit phone & address" on the same page. You can always log in with your email address instead of your username.

Q: I may have created more than one account. What should I do?

A: Log in using the account that was used to create your job listing. If you need help merging or locating accounts, contact us.

Job Listings & Approval

Q: When will my job listing appear on the site?

A: All listings are reviewed before being published. Most jobs are approved within a few hours during normal business hours. Until approved, your listing will appear as "Pending" in your dashboard.

Q: How do I check the status of my job listing?

A: Log in and click "My Listings" under your username. Listings are categorized as Draft, Pending, Active, or Archived.

Q: When does my listing period begin?

A: The posting period begins when the listing is approved and published—not when it is submitted.

Q: How do I edit a job posting?

A: Log in, go to "My Listings," select the listing under Active or Archived, make your edits, and re-submit. Edited listings return to Pending status for review before republishing.

Q: How do I remove or deactivate a job posting?

A: Go to "My Listings," select the Active listing, change the Submission Status to "Archive/Deactivate," and click "Submit." The listing will move to your Archived section.

Please note: There are no refunds for early deactivation.

Q: Can I post a job on WorkingCouples if I would also hire an individual?

A: Yes — as long as a qualified couple is also genuinely eligible for the position.

Q: What types of job postings are not allowed?

A: We are committed to maintaining a safe, lawful, and professional job marketplace for job seekers and employers. We do not allow job postings that promote, facilitate, or involve illegal activities.

This includes, but is not limited to:

Jobs involving activities that are illegal under applicable local, state, or federal law.

Jobs that may be legal in one jurisdiction but are illegal under federal law.

Roles involving controlled substances or federally prohibited products or activities, including certain THC, cannabis, or CBD-related work where prohibited by federal law.

Sex work, escort services, or other adult services prohibited by law or by our platform standards.

Criminal activity, fraud, money laundering, theft, trafficking, hacking, or other unlawful conduct.

“Gifted” or disguised compensation arrangements intended to avoid legal restrictions.

Any posting that encourages, supports, or facilitates illegal contracts, illegal services, or unlawful business activity.

We reserve the right to review, reject, remove, or restrict any job posting that we determine may violate applicable laws, regulations, payment processor requirements, underwriting guidelines, or our internal policies.

If a posting is found to involve illegal activity or appears designed to circumvent the law, it will not be approved or may be removed without notice.

Pricing & Plans

Q: Is there a cost to post a job?

A: Yes. We offer multiple options based on your hiring needs, including Basic listings, Premium listings with greater exposure, and annual programs for ongoing hiring.

Q: Where can I see pricing details?

A: Click the "Employers" tab and select "Pricing."

Q: Can I post the same job in more than one city?

A: Yes. If you are hiring a different couple for the same job in another city, add each extra city under "Additional locations" when you post your job. Each extra city becomes its own listing with the same job description, at half the price of the listing you bought. Each one shows as its own line in your cart, and you pay for all of them online at checkout. After payment, all of the listings go to our review queue together and appear under "My Listings." Each listing is separate, so editing one does not change the others. Please enter only one city in the City box of each listing.

Q: Can I upgrade my listing?

A: If you would like to upgrade from Basic to Premium, contact us and we'll assist you.

Q: Do you offer refunds?

A: Listings are non-refundable once published. Please review your posting carefully before submission.

Applications & Privacy

Q: How do I receive applications?

A: You decide how candidates apply. You may provide direct contact information (email, phone, website, etc.) or require candidates to apply through the WorkingCouples.com system only (blind box ad). Be sure to complete the appropriate contact fields when submitting your job.

Q: Can I keep my contact information private?

A: Yes. You may choose to have applicants apply through the website only, which keeps your direct contact details hidden.

Q: How will I know when someone applies?

A: Applications submitted through the website will be available to view online under "My Listings," and a notification will be sent to the email address attached to your employer account.

Viewing Resumes

Q: How do I view resumes of job-seeking couples?

A: Resumes can be browsed by Job Type or Location using the navigation menu. To access resumes, you must be logged in with a valid employer account and have at least one current active job listing. This requirement helps protect candidate privacy and prevent spam.

Best Practices for Hiring Couples

Q: How can I create an effective job listing for couples?

A: We recommend clearly outlining responsibilities for both partners, being transparent about compensation and benefits, specifying housing details (if provided), describing the location, schedule, and lifestyle expectations, and including photos whenever possible. Clear, detailed listings attract stronger and better-matched candidates.
