WHY DO WE SHOW EXPIRED LISTINGS?
We’re hiring 1 full-timer and 1 part-to-full-timer to work as our onsite guest host, caretaker, and property manager at our boutique motel in beautiful June Lake, California, right in the heart of the Eastern Sierras. You’ll oversee 26 guest suites and cabins, hosting visitors from all over the world. Our guests love fishing along the lakes and rivers of the loop, hiking, skiing and snowboarding, and exploring the park and surrounding National Forests, as well as spending time in June Lake, "the Switzerland of California."
Housing is provided onsite in a private 1-bedroom home with a large open floor plan, full kitchen, living room, deck, fenced yard, and flex space, all situated in the heart of June Lake, 5 minutes from June Mountain, 20 minutes from Mammoth Lakes, and 30 minutes from the Tioga entrance to Yosemite National Park.
Ideal candidates are outdoors-lovers with strong connections to the Eastern Sierras and the June Lake community, handy with day-to-day maintenance tasks, have keen attention to detail, and love sharing local knowledge with visitors from around the world. We are ideally looking for a long-term working relationship to stay in the role for many years to come.
Since the gig will likely be about 1.5-2 roles’ worth of work, we’re open to different arrangements; two part-timers, 1 full-timer with a part-time spouse or partner, etc.
