Self Storage Property Manager and Maintenance Tech - Newport News, VA

The Safe Place Mini Storage has locations in Hampton Roads and we are searching for someone to manage our excellent Newport News location. You will interact with customers daily, identifying storage needs as well as inspecting the property regularly. Responsibilities will be to ensure all leads are converted to rentals and that occupancy is kept at its optimum. The position's main hours are Monday through Friday 9am-5pm. The office is also open on Saturdays 9am-5pm staffed by the maintenance employee. We are searching for an experienced team for this location. There is a two bedroom apartment available if needed that can be part of compensation.

Responsibilities and Duties

-Renting units

-Supervision of the live-on property maintenance employee

-Maintain all tenant documentation

-Ensure facility is always maintained and shows excellent curb appeal

-General management of the office

-Make Calls to Delinquent tenants and ensure delinquent list is kept to a minimum

-Prepare units for Auctions when necessary

-Ensure property occupancy is always at optimal percentage

-Communicate effectively with the Corporate office

-Team player

-Prepare daily Deposits

Qualifications and Skills

-Strong sales and customer relations skills

-Excellent Telephone skills

-Prior Self Storage or Hospitality industry experience is a plus!

-Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office

-Quick Learner

-Self Starter

-Good organizational skills
