WHY DO WE SHOW EXPIRED LISTINGS?
POSITIONS OPEN
Are you the type of couple or individual that likes the out doors, hiking, kayaking, camping etc? Do you like living way out in nature? Do you want to live in a quiet, tranquil location off the beaten path? Would you like to see "Short Off Mountain" every day from your nearby yard? Less than 10 minutes from Lake James. This property backs up to the Pisgah Nat'l Forest! Do you enjoy helping other like minded people? IF you do then we may just be a great partnership!
I am seeking a like-minded nature loving couple to come live at my place and help me with basic upkeep and some odd construction/handy man jobs around the place. I can provide you with a fully furnished (if you want) LARGE HOME. This home has options for shared living on the main floor or the option to fix up the full basement to create your own space. I will provide the utilities (heat/electricity) in exchange for 30 hrs a week work around the property. You could work a few hours every day or knock it out 3 days a week - I am flexible...just seeking some help around the farm. If you aren't financially self-sufficient you would still have time to obtain a job in the area.
Some of the odd jobs needed might be electrical or plumbing on the 2 cabins on the property...so a person or couple with those backgrounds is the best fit. Painting, minor wood construction or repair, fence upkeep, lawn/landscaping maintenance would be needed here and there, and pet sitting for my 3 dogs when I am gone.
My goals are fix up the family farm and hopefully be able to rent 1 cabin by this May and use the money to finish the other cabin in the near future to help sustain the farm itself and provide a small income to someone who wants to stay on and help maintain the property and rentals. I have many ideas about other options on the farm but nevertheless, one can only do so much alone.
If this sparks your interest then please contact me and lets brainstorm!
