Restaurant Servers – Grand Lake Lodge
The Restaurant Server responsibilities include ensuring the tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus and serving food and beverages. Management is looking to greatly improve the service experience in the Lodge and is looking to build a stellar team that shares that vision.
Core Responsibilities:
The core responsibility of the restaurant server is taking the guests’ orders and delivering them correctly and efficiently. A list of specific duties is as follows:
- Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
- Attend to customers upon entrance
- Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages
- Take and serve orders
- Assist in running orders to tables
- Answer questions or make recommendations for complementary products
- Assist guests in selecting a complementary wine pairing
- Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
- Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
- Issue bills and accept payment
- Bus dishes quickly and reset tables to original configuration if moved
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Dependable, punctual
- Accurate, attention to detail, service oriented
- Strong organizational skills
- Basic computer skills
- Positive attitude, strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
Additional Requirements:
- Should be able to communicate effectively
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
