WHY DO WE SHOW EXPIRED LISTINGS?
We are looking for Maintenance Resident Volunteers to aid park staff in the maintenance of the park, facilities, and other maintenance related projects. Projects include but are not limited to: painting, boardwalk construction, roofing, electrical repair, and equipment maintenance. In return, resident/maintenance volunteers get a campsite at no charge and the satisfaction of performing an important and much-needed job.
We are located on the Gulf of Mexico across the bay from Port St. Joe, where visitors can swim and play in the sun on 9.5 miles of snow-white sand beaches lapped by clear, aqua-blue waters. The park is rated as one of the best state parks in the U.S. and one of the best beaches in the nation. Fishing, snorkeling, and hiking are great ways to enjoy and observe the park’s wildlife and natural beauty. Noted as an excellent birding and wildlife observation area, the park has one of the most productive sea turtle and shore bird nest beaches in the panhandle.
