We are in search of work campers to work part-time at our campground during our on-season (April-October). The campground is open year-round but there may not be significant hours available during the off-season).
We are located 30 minutes east of Albuquerque in the town of Edgewood.
We have multiple areas of work at the campground. You may be assigned to a particular area but could always be asked to help out in other areas depending on the need:
- Front Desk
- Reservations
- Propane refills
- Housekeeping
- Maintenance – including light plumbing and electrical
- Lawn Mowing / flowerbed maintenance
- Escort
- Site Cleanup
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, lift and carry 25 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds regularly
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance
- Long periods of standing (75%), or sitting
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb
- Requires the use of hands/fingers to handle or feel
- Able to travel by air and auto
- Able to work inside and outdoors frequently and in various climates
- Capable of moving safely over uneven terrain
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Hear and speak the English language fluently
- Excellent employee & customer relations skills & ability to manage confrontation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to read and maintain a budget
- Motivated, goal oriented and results driven
- Basic facilities management abilities including safety issues, i.e. propane and gasoline dispensing requirements and safe handling of hazardous materials
- General knowledge of computers and connectivity
- Able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and be on-call throughout the day & night
- Valid driver’s license
Please note: This is a hospitality job that will require great customer skills, professionalism and a can-do attitude. Since summer holidays are the busiest times at the park it is likely you will have to be working at the park during holidays.
