**Private service and ranch management experience required**
Ranch couple team needed to provide hands-on oversight of beautiful 1000-acre property in the mountains of southwest Colorado. Formerly a guest ranch, this property is now used as a vacation destination for the family and friends of its owner. Primarily used during the summer, mid-June through mid-September, this period may require 7-day work weeks. A small support staff is hired for the summer months to assist with operations, and oversight of these employees falls within the manager’s purview. The owner and family may visit periodically over the course of the rest of the year but generally for short periods.
The couple team will fill two roles, Ranch Manager and Guest Manager. The Ranch Manager will be responsible for hands-on maintenance of the ranch, including its equipment and structures. Management of staff, outside vendors, and subcontractors is also required. This position requires a detailed, organized, logistical planner with the ability to estimate with reasonable accuracy the time required and potential cost of future projects. Open and frequent written and oral communication with the owner conveying the status of projects is required. Various other duties include administering water rights and snow plowing.
The Guest Manager will prepare meals for the owner’s family and guests, with a particular focus on dinners. The Guest Manager will also be in charge of administrative duties for the ranch, including ordering of and shopping for food and supplies, as well as handling mail and correspondence. A focus on cleanliness is a priority, with the Guest Manager performing housekeeping duties for the owner’s houses, guest cabins, and main lodge (where kitchen and dining room are located).
Beautiful 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom house provided on site. Competitive salary and excellent benefit package are offered.
