- Administers Medication to residents according to training guidelines
- Plans recreational activites for children in their care, daily routine activities, special events, work projects, off campus activities and outings that are coordinated with the on duty Program Coordinator.
- Transports children in care in appropriate in vehicle provided for cabin use.
- Supervises residents and knows their location at all times. Keeps the children safe.
- Reports serious or repeated cabin issues to the appropriate Program or Clinical Staff
- Meets minimum standards for professional growth. Takes courses offered. Stays current in CPR- First Aid as required by plicy. Keeps current in hours of trianing per HCYR policy and TDFPS standards.
- Supervises the daily cabin chores.
- Takes inventory and orders the needed food, personal hygiene, and medical supplies
- Maintains the facilty, including staff living quarters and yard, in a clean orderly manner.
- Reports needed repairs immediately to supervisor and Maintenance Dept.
- Reports immediately any suspected child abuse or neglect to Executive Director or his designee
- Participates in training, meetings and supervisory confrences to develope and enhance child - care skills
- Maintains medical records, daily logs and incident reports on a daily basis.
- Ensures that residents attend school and required acitivites, and that children are always dressed suitably.
- Accompanies and supervises children during Ranch chapel services on Sunday
- Manages behavior problems as they occur using methods apporved by HCYR and TDFPS.
- Coordinates with therapists and program staff in setting up programs or acitivies to meet the special needs of children in care, such as individaul counseling or therapeutic activity groups.
- Makes sure that residents arrive at appointments on a timely basis.
- Demonstrates responsibility, maturity and role modeling in all interactions with staff and children.
- Helps to provide a living style that is growth producing.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
