Summary

Thomsonite Inn is looking to hire a couple who will oversee and support the Lodging operations at Thomsonite Inn. The primary goal of this role is providing an exceptional guest experience for our guests. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire Thomsonite Lodging Experience with responsibilities including Guest services, housekeeping and grounds/property maintenance.

FLSA Status: Exempt

Salary-$40,000 each annually, $80,000 total annually /includes housing

  • Operate front office including check-ins & checkouts
  • Be the main point of contact for guests and address all guest concerns
  • Clean units
  • Ensure all guest rooms are clean and ready for all reservations  
  • Manage laundry needs utilizing local laundry vendor seasonally
  • Oversee Gift Shop/Jewelry sales
  • Maximize revenue potential
  • Build and follow an annual budget for income, labor and supplies
  • Maintain grounds – Mowing, weed whipping, weeding, sauna, seasonal snow removal, etc.
  • Manage Interior room quality and resort maintenance needs utilizing the Bluefin maintenance team and sub-contractors as needed
  • Manage and schedule any additional Thomsonite employees
  • Ordering supplies for guests & employee needs
  • Must have valid drivers license and be able to be on our drivers insurance
  • Any other tasks as assigned

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Individual must possess excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively converse with guests and other employees.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school Diploma is preferred; one year or more of related experience or training. Ability to work flexible working hours, including holidays and weekends.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as conversions and measurements. Individual must be detail oriented. Accuracy is a must.
