Live-In Innkeeper Couple Boutique Mountain Inn | Highmount, NY
We’re on the search for a warm, self-motivated Live-In Innkeeper Couple to lead daily operations and guest experience for the Catskills Untold at Belleayre Mountain, our 11-room boutique inn in Highmount, NY—steps from Belleayre Mountain in the Catskills.
You’ll be the main point of contact for in-house guests, managing everything from warm welcomes and daily breakfast for ~20–25 guests, to pre-post stay guest messaging, light common area upkeep, and occasional support for small group events. While you’ll work independently day-to-day, you’ll be supported by hands-on ownership, a maintenance team, and housekeeping help.
Key Responsibilities (Not Exhaustive)
Guest Experience & Hosting
- Be the on-site host for all guests from arrival to departure.
- Personally greet guests, manage reservations, pre and post stay communications, and handle special requests.
- Offer local recommendations and ensure a high-touch, memorable stay
 
Breakfast & Kitchen
- Prepare and serve breakfast daily for approximately 20–25 guests as well as snacks, refreshments and occasionally dinners.
- Manage menu planning and food prep with creative freedom.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional kitchen including managing inventory/supplies.
 
Housekeeping & Property Oversight
- Keep common areas tidy; performe room turnovers and laundry as needed
- Handle basic maintenance issues; escalate larger tasks to maintenance staff
- Maintain adequate inventory levels.
 
Group Stays & Events
- Support occasional on-site group bookings and events
- Coordinate with external vendors and event partners as needed.
Marketing and Community Relations
- Serve as the inn’s friendly face—engaging naturally with local partners, businesses, government, and the community
- Support awareness efforts by posting updates on social media, helping encourage reviews, and attending local events
You Bring
- Experience in inns, B&Bs, or boutique hotels or similar hospitality settings.
- Confidence in cooking for groups, especially breakfast and the ability to bake.
- A guest-first mindset and welcoming presence
- Strong organizational skills and comfort working solo, entrepreneurial owners mindset
- Familiarity with booking/messaging tools and basic hospitality tech
- Appreciation for nature and experience in outdoor settings—a bonus if you can speak to the local community, environment and enrich guest understanding of the surroundings
- Bonus: event experience, light handyman skills, marketing/pr or Catskills/local area knowledge
