Cafe Abiquiu is located in Abiquiu Inn, a unique lodging destination 45 minutes north of Santa Fe, NM. Magnificent vistas and local attractions such as the Georgia O'Keeffe home and studio draw travelers to Abiquiu year round.
Summer and Fall are the high season in Abiquiu and we are seeking energetic individuals to join the team! Couples teams that offer both a BOH and FOH experienced candidate are preferrred. Accommodations are available for the right team.

BOH Responsibilities:
- Prepare all food items according to standard recipe/prep specifications, and as specified on guest check, to ensure consistency of product. Ability to work all stations is required.
- Work at a pace capable of providing quality platings that ensure guest satisfaction in a timely manner.
- Consistently check and maintain the proper storage of product and portion to ensure quality product.
- Maintain clean work area, equipment, storage and refrigeration areas. Involves bending, kneeling, and stretching to reach all areas in order to comply with health department regulations for sanitation and storage.
- Complete preparation of food items for production based on expected volume or as directed.
- Receive inventory and store food. This includes having the ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise move or push, goods weighing a maximum of 60 lbs.
- Follow recipes for production of banquet and group meals as well as individual orders employing necessary reading and math skills.
- Follow all food handling and safety guidelines.
- Maintain food handling certifications as required.
FOH Responsibilities:
- Maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance.
- Recognize and greet guests with a smile and provide sincere hospitality.
- Communicate effectively with the guest, kitchen staff and fellow service staff.
- Thoroughly understand the food and drink menus, including ingredients, preparation method, preparation time, portion size, garnish and plating procedures to ensure that orders are properly prepared and presented when served.
- Be detail focused and ensure accurate order taking, point of sale entry and transaction settlement.
- Promote specials and suggest items which enhance the guest experience.
- Consistently deliver the steps of service through effective organization, preparation and timing.
- Resolve errors or guest concerns quickly and always ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintain all dining room and service work areas in an attractive, sanitary and safe manner.
- Perform side work duties in a timely manner to ensure preparation for business levels.
The successful candidates will be outgoing, high energy and capable of delivering exceptional product in a fast paced environment.
