Innkeeper Couple – The Inn at Mount Snow

About Us

The Inn at Mount Snow is a 20-room boutique hotel located at the base of Mount Snow ski resort (Epic Pass, owned by Vail). Following a complete renovation, we’re seeking a dedicated couple to manage operations and guest services together. This is a hands-on opportunity work in the heart of Vermont’s Green Mountains, with skiing, hiking, and biking right outside your door.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Guest Services & Experience

• Oversee smooth self-check-in/check-out processes and handle common guest questions.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for guest communication, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and guests feel welcome.
• Maintain strong guest relationships to encourage repeat direct bookings.

Operations & Property Care

• Partner A (or both): Oversee daily operations including housekeeping coordination, breakfast setup, and vendor management.
• Partner B (or both): Handle maintenance scheduling, vendor coordination, and ensuring all facilities remain in excellent condition.

Food & Events

• Plan and coordinate daily continental breakfast with housekeeping support.
• Assist with small gatherings or special events at the inn, coordinating with local vendors to create memorable occasions.

Administration & Finance

• Handle billing, vendor management, inventory, and weekly receipt submission.
• Track expenses, prepare reports, and support financial performance monitoring.

Marketing & Community

• Provide photos/testimonials for social media consultants; ensure reviews are responded to promptly.
• Participate in local events to raise the inn’s profile and strengthen community connections.

Team & Vendor Management

• Oversee and support housekeeping and maintenance staff.
• Coordinate with contractors/vendors for repairs and improvements.
• Report directly to ownership to ensure smooth operations.
• Emergencies & Atmosphere
• Be available to address guest emergencies.
• Contribute to the inn’s welcoming ambiance with thoughtful touches, seasonal décor, and cozy hospitality.

Qualifications (for Couples)

• At least two years’ experience in hospitality, property management, or customer service.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a shared passion for guest satisfaction.
• Comfort with technology, property systems, and apps.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities.
• Ability to divide tasks effectively between partners.
• Flexible availability, including weekends/holidays.
• High school diploma/GED required; valid driver’s license required.
• Must reside on-site or within 30 minutes of West Dover.
