WHY DO WE SHOW EXPIRED LISTINGS?
General Park Operations Volunteer Couple
We have several opportunities for full and partial season Volunteers. Our minimum stay is 6 weeks and we have openings available now through October in many parks, pick when you'd like to visit Vermont!
Duties include assisting park staff with day-to-day operations and maintenance tasks. These can include staffing the park office, cleaning campsites and restrooms, mowing lawns, landscaping, painting and general upkeep of park facilities. Volunteers may serve as the emergency contact overnight one to two weeknights per week while the resident park ranger is off duty. 15 hours per week per volunteer assuming two volunteers per site.
Volunteers are provided a full hookup site to facilitate their experience. Propane refills provided free of charge. Volunteers receive free admission and camping at all Vermont State Parks as well as free or reduced admissions to several Vermont Attractions. All volunteers receive on the job training for all duties. Uniforms and safety equipment including necessary PPE for COVID-19 precautions provided.
