Volunteer Park Host needed for the 2022 recreation season at Pleasant Grove Day Use. This position requires a responsible couple who desires to work as a public relations liaison for the Corps of Engineers. Preference is given to couples who desire to spend most of the summer recreation season.
Pleasant Grove is a popular and busy park. It contains boat launching, parking, picnic shelter, restrooms, walking trail, picnic tables, swinging bridge and lake access for swimming. Volunteer camping pad with full utilities, along with all training for success, is provided.
Responsibilities include greeting customers, assisting with use of automated pay station, selling Corps Annual Passes, issuing, and receiving loaner life jackets, regular monitoring of the park and helping oversee parking. The Volunteer Campground Host minimum time requirement is twenty (20) hours per week with critical workdays being Thursday through Sunday. Summer holiday work required. Necessary skills needed include good communication, organization, and customer service.
Dale Hollow Lake is a vacation destination that offers unlimited water-based recreation. A background check will be required.
