Heart Of the Sierras/Vacation Wonderland
We are seeking a qualified experienced couple to manage a 20 cabin year round resort in Mammoth Lakes, California
Anticipated start date as soon as possible, no later than May 1, 2018
As on-site manager, couple will be responsible for supervising the day to day lodging facility. Facilities management would require on-site presence and include but not be limited to supervision of grounds, maintenance, operation of and minor repairs of heavy snow moving equipment. Operations management will include but not be limited to direct on -site responsibility for reservations (booking, monitoring, reporting) guest services, house keeping, data file management and staff management.
Location and Challenges- Resort is located at 9000' elevation and is operated/promoted all year round. Winter season is susceptible to periodic heavy snowfall and cold inclement weather. Must be in excellent physical condition, able and willing to do labor in challenging weather at higher altitude.Summer season is a delightful time, with wonderful summer and fall weather.
Personal Characteristics- Couple must be energetic, highly organized, posses wonderful people skills, physically prepared for often strenuous outdoor assignments (winter snow handling and guest shuttles) be capable of operating snow removal equipment such as snow cats, New Holland 145, Piston Bully etc.and have basic mechanical and home repair skills.Additionaly, have comfort in living in small mountain town some distance from urban core.
Office Skills- Managers must be proficient with computer (Excel,Word, Photoshop) and capable of learning and operating RNS/VRBO reservation programs and interact with Trip Advisors, Yelp and other components of SEO.

- Managing third party contractors
- Public/community relations/travel industry involvement
- Creative and proactive thinking
- HR, payroll processing
