JOB SUMMARY
Principle Responsibilities & Position Purpose:
Seeking energetic and motivated Operations Management Team for two boutique hotels with a combined total of 120 rooms at a distance of 3 km apart, responsible for the daily operations so that each department achieves and exceeds their guest satisfaction targets. Candidates accepted: Ideally a Couple to share management duties, or an individual, with experience in the hotel industry preferably international. Food and Beverage experience a plus.
Operations
- Conduct routine inspections of all areas of the hotel.
- Plan and achieve high quality operational standards in all areas of the hotel
- Maintain excellent guest relations
Employee Management, Training, Productivity & Allocation
• Ensure the employees within Operations are well managed with clear objectives and tasks
• Ensure employees are fully trained in job skills and customer service
• Responsible for all new team members to participate in an orientation program
Quality, Service Levels & Brand Standards
• Ensure high standards of quality in all aspects of the hotel operation
• Ensure highest possible levels of customer service across the operation
• Actively investigate what reforms to the operation may be necessary to raise standards
Food & Beverage Operations
• Oversee F&B operations ensuring that department service standards are met consistently
• Investigate and implement new F&B concepts with the full involvement of the GM
• Actively participate at meal times to ensure the highest level of service and guest satisfaction
Rooms Division Operations
• Oversee the housekeeping operations ensuring that service standards are met consistently.
• Responsible to ensure best quality of cleanliness throughout the hotel.
• Ensures good work liaisons with other departments (Hskpg/Front Desk/Maintenance)
• Weekly meetings to analyze performance and to implement action for improvement and team spirit.
Engineering Operations
• Ensure that attention is paid to the safety and security of all guests and staff.
• Ensure repairs are recorded and dealt with in the quickest possible time.
Requirements
To successfully fill this role, you must possess the following qualifications, behaviors, attitude, skills and values that follow:
EDUCATION
1. Bachelor Degree in Hotel & Hospitality/Tourism Management or equivalent.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position in a similar category of hotels (3 - 4 star).
- Familiar and/or adaptable to tropical climate and setting
- Knowledge in all areas of hotel management, preferably with experience in F & B or Rooms Management.
- Requires managerial skills as position involves frequent decisions, meeting of deadlines, analytical ability and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, complete and finish tasks and projects.
- Ability to effectively deal with a variety of people, some of whom require high levels of patience.
- Strong computer literacy including knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team to achieve high levels of performance and meet targets.
- Ability to develop and implement improvement programs.
- Knowledge of hotel property management systems.
