FEATURED JOB OPENING: Caretakers needed for New Mexico ranch - Las Vegas, NM

Full time position for caretakers for ranch south of Las Vegas, approximately 1 hour from Santa Fe. 

Responsibilities are focused on the overall care for and maintenance of ranch, roads, house, and caretaker house. 

This includes:

• • Daily checks of main house
  • Light cleaning of main house, keeping varmints away, taking out trash and recycling
  • Maintenance of roadways and periodic repair of erosion from heavy storms
  • Coordination of contractor visits for specialized work that cannot be done by caretaker
  • Vehicle repair and maintenance as needed
  • Maintenance of various systems around the house
  • Yard work, primarily during the spring and summer seasons

Beyond regular duties and tasks, successful candidates will be able to prove ability to be proactive, and identify issues outside of regular tasks and address them in a timely manner.

Compensation includes monthly salary and lodging in 3Br caretaker house.

• Enjoy living in remote and beautiful area of the state
• Have a track record of being successful in a variety of different jobs, with a history of getting things done
• Have excellent communication skills.  Property owners are actively involved in the property and love to know what is going on.
• Track record of successfully holding positions of autonomy and responsibility
• Enjoy working outdoors in a ranch environment and all that entails
• Have basic computer proficiency.  This includes, but is not limited to email, doing searches, spreadsheets, word, and scanning and printing.
• Able to pass a background check
