We are looking for a professional live-in management team to run a 23-room motel located in the beautiful Clark Fork River Valley in the Glacier Tourism Region of NW Montana. The motel business is the hospitality business. The management team's job is to take care of the customer - while keeping the property profitable, maintained and clean. This is a full-time, year round opportunity.
Motel Operations
Assist with laundry and housekeeping
Purchase supplies
Work with vendors and suppliers
Follow all state and federal health codes
Attend annual Montana Lodging & Hospitality Association conference
Guest Relations
Manage all elements of the front desk - taking reservations, checking guests in and out
Assisting guests
Answering phones
Manage OTA (Booking.com and Expedia.com) reservations
Staff Management
Hiring and managing staff
Follow all state and federal employment laws
Inspecting what is expected in the rooms to keep quality standards high
Manage staffing schedule
Staff annual reviews
Sales and Marketing
Calling on companies that are doing projects in the area, solicit their business
Calling on companies that have stayed with us previously, solicit their business
Negotiating rates
Daily Facebook, Twitter and Google Posts (can be prescheduled)
Manage special event sponsorships, verify fulfillment
Manage advertising
Mange website
Bookkeeping
Manage all direct billing invoicing and receivables
Manage and communicate payroll company
Manage monthly OTA reconciliations (Booking.com & Expedia.com)
Daily deposits
Manage motel on budget
Weekly reporting to owners
Maintenance
Regular room inspections
Manage regular maintenance requirements
Manage hiring appropriate professionals when needed (plumbers, electricians)
Keep grounds maintained, grass watered and mowed, bushes trimmed
Qualifications:

Hospitality experience preferred but not required

Must be computer literate - Office, Google Docs, learn reservation POS (Quickbooks a bonus)

Good communication skills and customer service oriented mind

Self motivated and an entrepreneurial spirit

Applicants must be able to work in a team environment and be a self-motivated.

Applicants must also be willing to work a flexible schedule. Work pace varies depending on season.
This is a year round, full time opportunity -

Compensation:

Negotiable salary

Performance bi-annual bonus based on profitability

Housing included, onsite two bedroom manager’s house

Utilities paid by motel (garbage, cable, water, sewer, telephone, internet)

After 1 year, you earn 1 week paid vacation
