Volunteer Campground Host with the US Army Corps of Engineers at our Campground – Celina, TN Beautiful family oriented location seeking a pleasant couple for operation of USACE campground registration center. Volunteer Park Attendant Assistants are needed for the 2020 recreation season at our Campground: May 15 to November 2nd.
Camping pad with utilities, along with all training for success, is provided. Responsibilities include operation of the registration center and greeting customers. Work days include Tuesday and Wednesday. Necessary skills needed include Windows based computer operation, good communication, organization and customer service. Dale Hollow Lake is a vacation destination that offers unlimited water-based recreation. A background check will be required. View campground information at www.Recreation.gov. The campground is located 3 miles from Celina, TN. The river is noted for trout fishing. Lake access is 3 miles at Pleasant Grove. Camping pad with utilities will be provided in exchange for the volunteer service. The volunteer may live in the park during the 172 days the campground is open and will work on Tuesday and Wednesday of each week totaling to 48 work days. The offset for the camping site is a value exceeding $5,600. The volunteer site is 30’ long and 12’ wide with an additional 2 foot overhang on the length. This back-in site has 30’ level on a concrete pad for the RV with additional gravel space for parking an extra vehicle. There are steps leading down to the picnic table and grills. The site has water, electric and sewer hookups. Volunteers will coordinate with contracted park attendants that work Thursday to Monday. Volunteers will be responsible for the campground operation on Tuesday and Wednesday. Additional duties include coordinating info with the contracted attendant and opening/closing gates, along with campground patrols on assigned work days.
