WHY DO WE SHOW EXPIRED LISTINGS?
US Army Corps of Engineers at Dale Hollow Lake is located in central Tennessee and Kentucky. Dale Hollow Lake is a beautiful crystal clear lake surrounded by forested hillsides and is known for a variety of water and land based recreation including fishing, boating, and camping just to name a few. We also lay claim to the world record small mouth bass. Dale Hollow is centrally located about a 2 hour drive from Lexington, KY and Nashville, Knoxville, and Chattanooga, TN.
We are seeking for the 2019 recreation season volunteer camp host positions. These positions offer the opportunity to work with the public, provide customer service, support your federal lands, meet new people, make new friends and enjoy the rustic beauty found only in middle Tennessee. The duties vary depending on the position. An individual campsite with hookups located with a beautiful lake view will be provided along with training and support as necessary.
Volunteer Camp Hosts will be utilized in a variety of locations and job capacities. Positions at Dale Hollow Damsite and Willow Grove Campgrounds are needed for part-time campground registration center operation. A position is also available at Pleasant Grove Day Use area. Volunteers will work no more than 20 hours a week but may involve weekends and summer holidays. Preference is given to those volunteers who chose to be with us the entire open season. Volunteers may also be subject to a background check.
Volunteers receive a campsite with water, electric and sewer hookups at Dale Hollow Damsite and Pleasant Grove. Willow Grove volunteers will have a campsite in the park with water and electric hookup and access to a dump station.
