We are currently recruiting to fill Campground Attendants and Evening Campground Attendants positions.
Campground Attendants are responsible for daily cleaning and maintenance duties in the campground restroom buildings and campground area. They also can be responsible for providing some evening customer service to park guests including: evening campground guest check in duties, store item sales, firewood delivery and providing information about park facilities and regional attractions to guests and visitors.
Evening Campground Attendants are responsible for providing evening customer service to park guests including: evening campground guest check in duties, store item sales, firewood delivery and providing information about park facilities and regional attractions to guests and visitors. They are also responsible for daily cleaning and maintenance duties in the campground restroom buildings during the evening shift.
Individuals that apply to this position must be available to work scheduled shifts of various lengths during the following office hours: 9 am – 11:30 pm 7 days a week. Candidates must also have the ability to work a varied schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Campground Evening shifts will be staffed by two individuals from approximately Memorial Day – Mid September. The evening shifts will be staffed by one individual during other parts of the season subject to change.
- Duties & Responsibilities

These examples do not include all possible tasks in this work and do not limit the assignment of related tasks in any position of this classification. Regular attendance according to the position's management approved work schedule is required for all positions.
1. Provide daily high quality housekeeping and maintenance services in a responsive manner, including but not limited to restrooms, office, and campsites.
2. Provide high quality guest services to campground guests that arrive for check in or register campers who arrive that do not have a reservation.
3. Courteously greet park visitors and answer phone calls. Provide information about regional attractions, park facilities and rules.
4. Notify Park Patrol staff when issues arise regarding park rules and policies.
5. Stock and replenish restroom supplies.
6. Sell Store Point of sale items with a computerized reservation system.
7. Firewood sales and delivery.
8. Notify Campground Operator staff of operational issues, repair, maintenance and supply needs.
9. Comply with all operating policies and procedures established by Dakota County Parks Department.
10. Perform other related duties as apparent or assigned.
