WHY DO WE SHOW EXPIRED LISTINGS?
WHY DO WE SHOW EXPIRED LISTINGS?
We are a 115-site family RV park with a bait shop/convenience store and 68 boat storage units. Most of our sites are rented yearly by fishermen and their families who come here to fish and vacation on and around Truman Lake. We will take overnight campers if we have space available for them, but we usually keep our sites filled with annual renters.
We are taking applications for work-campers for our 2020 season.
Work camper responsibilities here would include about 3 hours per day of things such as operating our store, mowing and other groundskeeping, facilities maintenance and improvement, equipment repair, showerhouse cleaning, and generally helping keep our park looking good.
Your schedule could be flexible.
Ideal applicants might be an individual or husband/wife couple retired from careers and now vacationing around the country in their RV or trailer. We are looking for 1 or 2 such individuals or couples for the 2020 season. (If a couple, of course the two of you could work together if you’d like.)
In exchange for your help, we can provide a free full-hookup campsite including free wireless internet and free electricity (within reasonable limits) for the 2020 season.
(By “season”, what we mean to say is we’re really needing help for the busy part of our season, which basically is March through October. But we would take help sooner and probably be happy to have help longer, since the work at a campground really never ends if we’re ambitious about it. We shut some things down through the winter, like our store, but we’re really a year-round campground in that a few customers use their campsite here in the winter, and wintertime is a good time for maintenance and other projects.)
Please be prepared to offer character references, and as we are a family campground with children around, we can’t accept anyone with criminal history. If it applies to you, please take that into consideration prior to contacting us, as we will conduct a background check.
