Mt Rushmore is located in the Black Hills National Forest of western South Dakota. Above dense forests and pristine streams, the Mount Rushmore National Memorial represents a national treasure.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are currently filling multiple Retail Associate positions for our Summer 2022 season, and having limited dormitory and RV sites offers couples a great opportunity to Live, Work, and Explore Mount Rushmore and the Black Hills of Western South Dakota!
Positions start as early as March 29th and extend until September or October! $12.05/hour.

Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in a courteous and knowledgeable manner, answering customers’ questions regarding location, price, and use of merchandise.
- Greet customers on sales floor.
- Operate cash register and obtain payment or credit authorization.
- Wrap or bag merchandise for customers as needed.
- Process returns and exchanges.
- Prepare end-of-shift deposit of payments.
- Stock and restock product as necessary; maintain product displays.
- Take inventory of stock and requisition merchandise from stockroom.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- At least six months of previous cashiering experience. Previous retail experience is preferred.
- Public contact experience with a willingness to courteously interact with a broad cross-section of customers in a high-volume seasonal retail operation.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Ability to properly handle and secure cash and credit cards; basic math skills and ability to make change.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision while maintaining guidelines set by supervisor.
- Ability to stand/walk continuously for eight to ten hours.
- Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to frequently bend down or kneel.
