2020 PARK HOST COUPLE
Commitment is from MAY 11 thru to SEPT 7 2020.
PARK HOST COUPLE position offers incredible benefits plus some extra income ($3,000-$5,000 / season) for part-time paid work for one as a PARK FACILITY OPERATOR (PFO). The part-time paid PFO position is a requirement for this HOSTING COUPLE posting. Sorry, but pets are not permitted for this position.

Park Hosts must provide their own RV and maintain a clean site as this space is the first impression of the park's camping area. Host couples must wear park uniform shirts (provided) while on duty. Park Hosts must be flexible, dependable, personable, enjoy helping others, and be able to effectively follow instructions from management and the Head PFO on duty.
Hosting scheduling is 25-30 hrs per week of volunteer hours (can be divided between the couple, or exclusive to one) and the PFO scheduling is 14-20 hrs per week (paid). Hours are scheduled in advance seasonally, but subject to last minute changes to reflect the park’s needs. Park Hosts & PFO’s must be physically able to perform all required duties and may include lifting up to 40 lbs.
PARK HOST REQUIREMENTS
Maintenance of the Self-Serve Kiosk and Park Info Boards
Firewood sales
Park Visitor Info (assisting campers with questions on the park & local interests)
Park Handouts (incl. kid’s scavenger hunts & Canada Day Parade Info)
Offer change for sani-dump on major departure dates (a cash float is provided)
Understanding of BC Park Policies & the Kaloya Contracting Manual including the Park Host's Roles & Responsibilities
Use of our 2-way radios & protocols

PARK FACILITY OPERATOR (PFO) REQUIREMENTS
Park Security
Camper Registrations, Fee Collection & Reservation Check-Ins
Opening or closing the park gates
Operation of park vehicles
Firewood Sales & Delivery
Maintenance incl. washrooms, garbage/refundable collection & general grounds keeping
Understanding of BC Park Policies & the Kaloya Contracting Manual including the PFO's Roles & Responsibilities
Use of our 2-way radios & protocols
*PFO’s must be flexible, dependable, enjoy helping others, and be able to effectively follow instructions from management and the Head PFO on duty.*
HOST COUPLES / PFO'S must provide a valid driver’s license, and are required to provide a current RCMP Criminal Record check and an RCMP Vulnerable Sector check. (Fees for the checks are reimbursed following the completion of a full season.)
