WHY DO WE SHOW EXPIRED LISTINGS?
We are seeking Live-In individuals or married couples to work as House Parents to create a family style setting for up to 4 siblings reunited for adoptive preparedness. (*If married, one spouse has to be identified to solely work as the House Parent).
Being a house parent is more of a mission/calling than your occupation. While on duty, this is a 24-hour a day responsibility, just like being a parent to your own children. You must have an innate concern for the wellbeing of children and youth.
Applicants will have to complete the Georgia home study process. Applicants must have a valid Georgia driver’s license, High School Diploma or GED with relevant experience(preferably at least one year) in dealing with children and adolescents. Must be at least 25 years of age, (if applicable) and if married a minimum of two years unless approved by program manager.
The ideal candidate(s) must be able to handle high stress; be well organized, have PC related skills, a direct and factual communication style; must be able to handle a variety of tasks and responsibilities during the day; ability to related to a wide variety of individuals and be able to work as part of a team with all providers and state agency partners.

Many of the things we can offer our parents through their employment with our organization: Monthly/weekly respite caregiver relief; specialized trauma-informed training and 24-hour crisis intervention; in-home support with support staff and Foster Care Specialist; access to the Counseling Center with medication management assistance; family health insurance; relocation assistance; housing; utilities; food; vehicle; local YMCA membership; access to attend local attractions and events
Preference will be given to those individuals with previous experience working with adolescents in a therapeutic residential or group living environment.
