WHY DO WE SHOW EXPIRED LISTINGS?
We are looking for married couples who are called to meet the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of the children living on our campus who have been rescued from abuse or neglect. We serve boys and girls who need a home because of circumstances outside of their control, not because of anything they have done wrong. We know that house-parenting is a rewarding career and an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of hurting boys and girls.
The housing that is provided on campus for direct care staff is second to none. We provide each of our houseparent couples a private 1,600 sq. ft. apartment on campus with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a kitchen and laundry room, both equipped with appliances. We strongly encourage you to take a look at our website (www.hohfc.org) and click on ‘Our Program > Campus Layout & Tour’ to review pictures of our homes.
The couples that serve on campus have a 21-day on 9-day off schedule. These positions require high energy, a sense of humor, flexibility, ability to deescalate, and excellent organizational skills to meet the demands of a large family.
Benefits include 100% health and dental/vision insurance, company-matched retirement account, free housing, food, utilities, cable & internet access on campus, a business cell phone, a family atmosphere and relocation assistance. Couples must pass a background check.
The base salary for this position is $45,000 per couple.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $45,000.00 /year
We are a faith-based, Christian children's home located just outside of the Hattiesburg, Mississippi metro area (Purvis). Hattiesburg is midway between New Orleans and Mobile, just 75 miles from the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Greater Hattiesburg is home to two universities, two junior colleges and has been named the most-educated city in Mississippi. The Greater Hattiesburg area has all the benefits of a large metropolitan city but still feels like a small town, full of Southern hospitality and charm and is home to NFL star, Brett Favre.
We are unique - it is totally supported by private donations. We are not a foster home and do not take money from any federal or state sources, we are a permanent home to the children who reside in one of seven cottages on campus. We fights legal battles to gain custody of these children in order to provide them a permanent, stable and loving home.
