Job Title: Property Caretaker and Project Manager
Job Type: Part Time
Summary
We are looking for a property caretaker to help manage our 34 acre family vacation home rental in Estes Park, Colorado. The property is very unique and includes main home, 3 rustic cabins, a newly built cabin, 2 barns and stocked pond. The ideal candidate(s) would be an all-around handyman that lives in Estes Park or closely surrounding area that will work an average of 20-30 hours (hours vary based on season). Property Caretaker would oversee and execute the daily operations and tasks to keep fully property in working order. This position is also responsible for overseeing third party vendors and contractors. We currently have a couple that helps out part time with coordinating maintenance and cleaning after rentals but we would love to find someone or a couple that can bring most of these tasks in house instead of outsourcing to multiple contractors in the area. This is a family property and we want to find someone who will care for it as their own.
Responsibilities
Overall building maintenance and repairs:
• House Checks
• Boiler and sprinkler systems
• Lighting replacement (indoor/outdoor)
• Hot tub maintenance
• Basic carpentry & painting
• Basic plumbing &electrical repairs
• Equipment maintenance
• Diagnose problems and contact vendor(s)
• Homeowner point of contact
• HOA regulation and protocol
Seasonal Maintenance:
• Winterizing and opening cabins
• Water feature activation
• Property spring cleanup
• Turn on/off all water
• Basic landscape upkeep
Project Management:
• Helping coordinate projects and construction and ad-hoc tasks
• Coordinate contractors and onsite personnel
• Keeping schedule projects and maintenance routines
Vacation Rental Assistance:
• Onsite contact as we live a couple hours away in case of emergencies
• Maintaining inventory levels
• Full Cleaning after rentals or coordination of housekeeper
• Occasionally meeting guests for tours
