Houseparents provide leadership of the homes they live in and oversee the daily activities of the youth. In addition, the houseparents oversee a team of 3-4 youth care workers. They are responsible for maintaining a cohesive family unit and maintaining communication with parents, social workers, and guardians. They identify spiritual needs, correct negative behavior, tutor, plan activities and events, counsel/advise and teach students to work through daily problems that may come up in the course of a day.
The Houseparent position at Rawhide is staffed by a married couple. This role is full-time and does provide free housing.
**$76,000-$96,000 salary, $10,000+ tuition reimbursement per year, $4,000-$6,000 401k employer contributions, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 16 vacation days per year, on-site weight room, on-site cafeteria, wellness program, on-site wellness coach**

Required job qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or willingness to complete training through Rawhide's learning management system
- Experience working with at-risk youth in residential treatment, foster care, or other direct care capacity
- Ability to interact and effectively communicate with culturally diverse, psychologically or behaviorally challenged population
- Experience in transitioning youth to positive situation (i.e., securing employment, creating and working on a budget, finding positive resources, and other benefitical environments)
- Organized and dependable
- Possess a valid driver's license, without restrictions, except for glasses, and have a good driving record
- Demonstrate spiritual, social, emotional, and intellectual maturity
