FEATURED JOB OPENING: Excursion Manager and Masseur/Masseuse - Republic of Panama

On the tropical shores of the Republic of Panama, we are seeking a stable couple to run our excursions and activities who love the great outdoors.

The hotel has 18 rooms, an awesome location and is one of the best-rated small hotels in Central America according to TripAdvisor.  The international guests come mainly from North America and Europe and have exacting standards. We have a reputation for quality service and giving a warm welcome. We are current holders of the Best Small Hotel in Panama and Best Customer Service in Panama awards. The friendly, professional management team come from Europe and Panama.

One member of the couple will be responsible for looking after the trips and activities program, including excursions around the area. The other member will run our masage treatment program and support the trip program as needed.

For the excursion manager role, a lot of the time you could be guiding on the trips, sometimes greeting guests on site or at the airport, sometimes planning trips with other agencies or providers, sometimes explaining and taking trip reservations. Many of our excursions are in our hotel boats to the beautiful islands of the Gulf of Chiriquí but we also do activities on land on ATVs and other vehicles.  You will be responsible for making sure guests have a great time and could find yourself turning your hand at anything.

You therefore need to be highly flexible, very presentable, incredibly outgoing and love being active. You will need to prove your experience. If you don’t like getting involved with guests’ needs and making things happen for them this is not the job for you.

We are also looking for in the second member of the couple an experienced ( minimum 6 months) masseur/masseuse, ideally with knowledge of all treatments, although some training can be offered if required.  

We are searching for a couple to work with a high level of autonomy reporting to our hotel managers (also a couple from Working Couples!), so you must also be organised.   

An initial contract of 2 years is offered with attractive accommodations and some meals included.

This is an amazing and challenging opportunity for a hardworking, stable couple, who love rural, non-city environments, enjoy hosting guests (and have experience to prove it) and can speak both English & Spanish well. 

THESE ARE THE ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POST. Please only apply if you meet these:- 

- One person fluent to a very good level in English and Spanish (spoken): this is essential for the person doing the guiding. The second person can be fluent in spoken English or Spanish with good understanding of the other language.

- Proven success in a hotel, tourism or leisure activity environment, dealing directly with customers in the type of situations described above - minimum 1 year. Six months experience is acceptable for the masseues/masseur.

- Established couple who have lived and worked together in the past, ideally away from their home country.   

- Driving license and used to driving often

- Not suitable for people traveling with children.

- Non smokers prefered

- Love outdoors, back country life and a rural environment. This is not for city or town dwellers.
