This opening is for an energetic, ministry-minded, full-time Maintenance person to help steward and care for the homes, buildings, and grounds God has blessed us with. The position will require a person who can take care of our basic day to day upkeep and who will commit to making this "their place." While a general knowledge of plumbing, electrical and HVAC would be helpful, we hire professionals for these major projects. All other facets of maintenance would be yours.
Spouses are welcome to apply for other open positions in Direct Care and in our onsite school. If a couple has children under the age of 5 one parent may work only part-time. Children over the age of 5 may attend our onsite private Christian school at no charge.
This position requires:
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- At least eighteen (18) months of education and training beyond high school level in general maintenance and repair, or a closely related field.
- Have two (2) years experience in general maintenance or other maintenance responsibilities that would include the ability to recognize electrical, plumbing, and mechanical malfunctions or equipment failures. Formal training in related fields will substitute on a year for year basis.
- Be able to pass a fingerprint-based, criminal history background check.
- Must have a current, valid driver's license and a clean driving record. If from out of state, must be able to obtain an Idaho Driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
- Must be in good physical health, able to lift at least 50 lbs, bend, climb stairs, stand, sit and/or walk for a duration of at least 30 minutes.
- Must pass a TB (Tuberculosis) screening test.
General Responsibilities:
- To work under the direction of the Chief Administrator and other administrative staff and be responsible for coordinating the work of employees and volunteers in the general maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment; maintaining electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and related systems; performing the work of employees and other duties as required.
