This retail outlet is located in a remote and beautiful location of Glacier National Park. You must have your own RV (self-contained) and transportation for this position. RV spot is located 11 miles from worksite. Due to our limited RV sites available for the Two Medicine Campstore, we require couples to work at this location.
This job provides a fun and exciting fast-paced retail opportunity in a beautiful setting. The Two Medicine Campstore is a retail outlet with a small food service/ coffee operation. Associates at Two Medicine must be able to work in both parts of the operation on a daily basis. It’s a small team and everyone needs to work together. We provide superior levels of guest service each and every day of our operating season. We maintain a high level of standards throughout the entire operation. Your day will consist of operating our POS (Point of Sale System), stocking, merchandising, cleaning, food prep, cooking, making espresso, washing dishes and constant guest interaction. In order to work in our retail establishments in Glacier National Park you must be a fun outgoing person that loves to interact with people. You must also be someone who takes pride in their work and excels in a busy environment. Expect to work 40-46 hours a week and be flexible in regards to scheduling.
RESPONSIBILITIES BY POSITION:
A day in the life of the Two Medicine Campstore Manager
- Manage staffing, customer satisfaction, daily procedures and operations.
- Maintain a professional and guest-oriented atmosphere in a high-volume retail and food & beverage environment.
- Ability to be flexible and work 10 - 12 hours per day.
- Follow all budgetary guidelines for labor and sales goals.
- Coach and ensure your associates are performing their job duties and providing customer service.
- Actively complete cash audits, reports and evaluations to Retail Director and Retail Operations Manager.
- Work directly with vendors to order products and maintain inventory.
- Follow Company and departmental environmental practices, safety practices, and policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned.
A day in the life of the Two Medicine Campstore Assistant Manager
- Assist the Manager with the staffing, customer satisfaction, daily procedures and operations.
- Maintain a professional and guest-oriented atmosphere in a high-volume retail and food environment.
- Ability to be flexible and work 10 - 12 hours per day.
- Follow all budgetary guidelines for labor and sales goals.
- Coach and ensure your associates are performing their job duties and providing customer service.
- Actively complete reports and evaluations to Managers.
- Work directly with vendors to order products and maintain inventory.
- Follow Company and departmental environmental practices, safety practices, and policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned.
A day in the life of the Two Medicine Campstore Associate
- Greet customers and answer questions.
- Process payments in POS System.
- Keep the sales floor tidy and well-stocked.
- Prepare food orders and make expresso in Café.
- Clean and maintain equipment in Café.
- Ability to be flexible and work 10 - 12 hours per day.
- Follow Company and departmental environmental practices, safety practices, and policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
Our Two Medicine Campstore Manager and Assistant Manager will be enthusiastic, friendly and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service and detail oriented. We are seeking a candidate that has management experience in retail, sales, or food & beverage environment. The Two Medicine Campstore Manager position must have skills in effective oral communication, accounting, computer, and POS System in addition to strong problem-solving and resolution. Must be able to pass Managers ServSafe Food Handlers Certificate and TIPS Responsible Alcohol Sales Certificate. This unique location requires to work with a small staff and not afraid to work long shifts.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to stand/walk for a minimum eight-hour shift.
- Frequently lift and carry cartons weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Carry boxes/product up and down stairs at most locations several times a day.
- Must be able to bend down or kneel to stock product frequently during a shift.
- Must be able to go up and down stairs on a regular basis during a shift.
