After 20 years of corporate grind, we both turned in our pass cards, name badges, packed our bags and escaped for the wilds of northern Michigan. Our goal was simple, to manage an upscale ‘bistro” hotel and start living for “ourselves”.
13 months later we were “battle hardened” innkeepers loving every moment of the “fight”. Unfortunately the owners were looking to sell, and we chose to fight another day. Since then we have been extremely successful in both “inn-sitting” and in managing independent retirement communities.
Currently we are managing a combined 1300 acres in Michigan dedicated to the Girl Scout experience. Between buildings, facilities, vehicles, timber, horses, livestock, assistants, counselors, licenses, permits and the random stray raccoon it is the same as being responsible for a small township.
We are a perfect fit for an estate, high volume B&B or large property management. Budget administration, property management, team leadership, time management, self-management and problem solving are all key skills we bring to any situation. We are extremely effective both as “hands on” or in supervisory positions. Dennis is a member in good standing of DEMA (Domestic Estate Managers Association).
We are available to relocated to anywhere in the US, Canada or Caribbean.
