Live In Couple required for a non-residential property in Kent near Maidstone. The property is the head office of a worldwide company and was formally a country estate. It is not residential but the chairman & directors entertain here. The grounds are just under 100 acres including 27 acres of pleasure grounds, the rest being made up of parkland and woodland. The client is looking for an experienced couple – Housekeeper/cleaner preferably with experience with antiques and groundsman/gardener. The client would like a couple to start in April/May to start a handover with the outgoing couple who will be leaving the position sometime between the summer and the end of the year.

Duties will include:
Opening up the building [alarmed]
Cleaning of offices, communal & formal areas including furniture, antiques, silver & brass
Some laundry [towels, tea cloths]
Cleaning of staff room and kitchens
Laying of chairman’s fire during winter
Reporting to property manager any faults or problems
Some shopping
Some serving of teas and light lunches [pre- prepared]
Groundsman duties to include:- [to work with small team of two other gardeners]
Mowing
Tractor work [training provided if necessary]
Maintenance of pathways
Weed killing [training provided if necessary]
Tending of flower beds
Some general maintenance when require [light bulbs, moving furniture etc.]
Chopping logs for fires
Joint responsibility of security – Keyholder

Hours 40 hours a week Monday to Friday
Drivers ideally at least one to be a driver
Accom 2 bed cottage moving into a 2 bed apartment when the couple leaves - not all found as electricity and water are charged
Start April/May
Salary £ The salary at present is £37,500 PA with health and pension benefits.
