We are located on 15 acres in Williams Arizona, with approx 10 buildings and a complete workshop. It will require dedication, commitment, team-orientation, passion and a huge heart for the population we serve. Camp Season: 9-10 weeks of 24/7 summer camp, (long days, nights and/or weekends when necessary) and scheduled weekends during the remainder of the year in which campers are present. There is also a small Day Program at the camp which operates Monday-Friday 8-4 pm. All other times will be used for growing, maintaining and repairing the facility.
We are hoping to find a team to share in many responsibilities and skills which would include: carpentry/construction is a must, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, operation of machinery and tractor, small motor maintenance and repair, vehicle upkeep and repair, housekeeping, kitchen cook during camp and weekend, other duties: landscaping, gardening, and some retail, administration and outreach, supervision, and participation in the day-to-day general maintenance and security of camp. Other responsibilities include ensuring that all equipment remains in proper working order and compliance with standard operating procedures and safety standards and state licensing requirements, assisting in maintaining an inventory of all Camp property, and assists with rental groups. Previous management and maintenance experience a necessity as you may supervise a small crew during busy seasons
Minimum qualifications: High school Diploma,CPR/First Aid and Finger-Print Qualified, experience in facilities management, and construction trades.Must reside on campus (housing provided). Salary based on experience. Compensation includes housing, utilities, phone, wireless internet, medical insurance and retirement plans, vacation and sick time, meals during camping sessions, and camp vehicle.
This is NOT.. a retirement job, in fact the people you are replacing have worked at camp for 17 years!!! This job is not an easy one, but the more you give the more you will get, not only monetary, but it will fill your heart!
