WHY DO WE SHOW EXPIRED LISTINGS? We show expired listings to prospective subscribers in order to provide you with a broader view of the types of jobs that become available on our site over time. The nature of our listings are that they are very temporary. New listings get published every day, and every day other listings expire. If you were to only see today's listings you would have no idea of the types of jobs that would get posted over time. We can't predict the future openings, so we show you (a prospective subscriber) the openings that have expired.

Logged-in subscribers (both free and paid) no longer see the expired listings, just the current ones. To review your subscription options, please click the “Job Seekers - Subscribe" tab at the top of the page.

The Colombian NGO ProAves has recently acquired and renovated a historic 14-room eco-hotel on the slope of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. The hotel is just 35 minutes from Caribbean beach resorts and lies within the coffee belt, on route to the famous El Dorado bird reserve.

We are seeking a person or ideally a couple that can live at the hotel (in a private on-site house) and manage tourists. We would offer of a basic salary and also a proportion of income generated. We are looking for an individual or couple that are efficient, honest and hard-working to manage the hotel including bookings, accounts, hotel staff, bar/restaurant, and marketing. Experience of managing people and ability to communicate verbally in Spanish and English is essential. An interest in conservation and the environment is desirable, in order to help promote the hotel and the town as an eco-tourism destination, both to foreigners including birdwatchers and the national market.

Please send a cover letter explaining why you would be the ideal candidate, the salary you seek and a max. 2 page CV.
