Couple Needed with RV / Skid Home to Manage High Mountain Luxury Winter Villa! - Dubois, WY
WHY DO WE SHOW EXPIRED LISTINGS?
I am in need of a trustworthy couple to help me manage and do housekeeping on a 5022 Sqft luxury brick home villa, 2BD/2.5 BT upstairs and a 1 Bedroom, 800 Sqft Luxury Downstairs unit on a 8 acre private secure retreat next to the beautiful Wind River here in Dubois, WY. I rent these bedrooms out by the night (most guests stay more than two days and up to a month), so I need help checking guests in, and checking guests out.
My need is immediate due to the peak summer season, so those of you who are able to work here or get to Dubois in the next 7-14 days to begin are preferred. But those of you who are able to begin at a later date are also encouraged to apply. I have no problem waiting for the right Candidate.
If you need a pad space for your RV or a Skid Home, I will provide Internet, electric, water, sewer, and free pad rent in exchange for managing the property. I also have a space for a huge garden if you want to plant a garden. Imagine, no bills, garden vegetables to eat, fish and swim right from the Wind River, and wildlife galore in millions of acres of public land to hunt in the nearby mountains! Just manage my property and this can be yours!!
A good candidate would include a couple who would loves to fish and/or living in this remote beautiful country of Wyoming, who likes the alpine/desert climate, loves wildlife, likes small towns with a country setting, and is good at making a home presentable, has a knack for decorating, someone who loves to plant flowers and/or garden, someone who knows how to fix and maintain things, and is good with their hands. You may be allowed to have a gentle dog, but no cats. I am allergic to cats. If you and/or your partner smoke, you are only allowed to smoke in or near your RV/Skid Home.
My property includes a sewer drop in the circle driveway for your RV. Electricity is also available. We are on a well, so the water is incredible delicious to drink since it comes from glaciers on the mountain. RV owners are encouraged to apply, unless you have the ability to drop a skid structure on the property and pay for the plumbing/sewer/electrical to it at your own expense.
Please call or text me if you have any questions.
BENEFITS TO THE POSITION:
** We require 18 hours minimum per week over 5 days (days off negotiable and is dependent on guest check in/departures) in exchange for the benefits listed below:
+ Free utilities, and pad rent. ** PLEASE NOTE: If you require an electrical box and underground water line for your RV next to the sewer hookup, you will need to install these at your own expense. As mentioned above, I do have a sewer drop, electrical and a water spicket are near the hookup next to the detached shop. If you have a skid structure, miniature home, or cabin kit that can be removed easily, you are free to place it on the property, but you will need to pay for the footings and pay to bring the plumbing/sewer/electrical to it at your own expense (I may need to get city approval for this, so if this is something you have, I will need to look into it.)
+ Access to Wifi Internet. (Wifi signal may not be a strong enough signal to where you will park your RV. You can purchase a range extender from the phone company if you wish).
+ Access to the property's outside amenities: the River, Well Water, Acreage, Grounds, Patio, Lawn.
+ Access to the property's interior amenities: Laundry Room, downstairs crawl apace Food Storage Area (always has a 65 degree temperature), upstairs kitchen if there are no guests in home.
+ Access to my 1200 sqft detached shop where you can store some of your belongings, ATV, boat or work out of is available. ** PLEASE NOTE: I do rent this shop out to my nightly guests if they have snowmobiles, ATV's, or vehicle. So you will need to keep your storage space to a minimum.
+ Plant your own Garden. If you desire to plant a garden and be responsible for the upkeep, the expense of it, and sharing some of its harvest with me, I do have an ideal 2000 sqft area that is weed free and was used for horses last year that is well fertilized. This area is conveniently located between the home and the shop. This garden can be watered from the river because I do have irrigation lines and a pump from the river that can feed the garden. Fencing to keep deer out would also need to be installed.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
+ Ground Maintenance: Sweep snow and debris off sidewalks and driveway pad in winter (it snows very lightly down under our bluff), lawn mowing, weedeating, irrigation maintenance, tree pruning, shrub pruning, minor landscaping, pulling weeds, watering, and flower planting in the summer. Also, feeding my minature Husky daily that resides outdoors. ** For those of you who want to plant a garden are welcome to, but you will need to be responsible for the duties necessary to keep that garden maintained and weed free as mentioned above in the benefits section.
+ Home Maintenance: Be able to handle minor repairs that require basic maintenance skills. Perform routine maintenance and general upkeep to make the property look its best and to maintain a safe environment for my guests is essential. Conduct regular inspections to determine areas that need attention will also be important. The job might involve replacing a worn doorknob, oiling a squeaky hinge, replacing burnt light bulbs, changing air filters, and perform a set schedule of routine maintenance procedures is important. General cleaning on an as-needed basis will also be needed such as shampooing carpets, waxing floors, dusting, or cleaning hard-to-reach light fixtures/chandeliers.
+ Interior Housekeeping: This includes housekeeping duties: making beds, laundry, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, tidying up the kitchens, and making the rooms exceptionally welcoming in the rooms, etc.
THE PROPERTY:
The property is tucked beneath a 300 foot red rock bluff on the west and the Wind River runs right through our property from the north converging at the west end which we have 800 feet of beautiful river frontage. If you are an Angler, peaks from the Wind River and Absaroka Mountain ranges thrust 13,000+ feet into the sky just west and north of our property, and brookies, rainbows, cutthroat, and brown trout fin placidly in the Wind River just 50 feet from our back door. The river is fed by numerous thermal springs, so it never freezes in the winter and is home to all kinds of water foul from geese to mallard ducks. So you can fish in it all year long. Just above the property, the Wind River Range contains hundreds of more remote lakes so clear they appear to be covered in nothing but cellophane. It's a region full of varied trout opportunities with excellent stream fishing, combined with exotic golden trout in the high lakes, makes the Wind River Range a sought-after destination for worldwide adventurous anglers. The property is also a 1 hour drive from Grand Teton Nation Park and Yellowstone National Park, is located minutes from millions of acres of shear wilderness where you would have public access, and is half an hour drive to Togwotee Pass which is a snowmobilers, snowshoeing, hikers, sightseers, and a fisherman. Its paradise found!
ABOUT DUBOIS, WYOMING:
Dubois is an authentic western town splendidly situated near the continental divide and located along the Wind River, rimmed by the Absaroka and Wind River Mountains. It's an area of striking contrasts from the badlands to the high peaks. The rustic log buildings that line the main street look much as they did when the town was first settled in the late 1800's. And yes, a river runs through it. Quaint shops, delicious restaurants and cafes are abundant in Dubois. The Wind River meanders peacefully through town on its way to join the Yellowstone River system. The area is home to the largest herd of bighorn sheep in the lower 48 states. Rock climbing and ancient native petroglyphs abound in the nearby cliffs. Fly fish for trout all year long from our back yard or go 4-Wheeling into the nearby mountain ranges. Dozens and dozens of beautiful lakes are nearby. Elk, Deer, Moose, Osprey, Eagles, bunnies, water foul, and wildlife galore make our property home!
ABOUT ME:
I am a 43 year old Native American single father. I buy/sell land for a living and have an office outside the home here in Dubois. I do travel a lot. When my son is with me, as a family we enjoy rock hunting, prospecting for gold, camping, fishing/hunting, exploring new areas, skiing, snowshoeing, cycling, swimming, boating, kayaking, staying active, traveling, and helping others. My son plays the piano and violin, but if you ask him he would rather be outdoors looking for rocks! And, he is an incredible pitcher in baseball. We love life to the fullest, we love the Lord with all our hearts, and our family's vision to impact others lives.
