Couple required to fill the following positions on a small Caribbean Island Resort.
Boat Captain with a minimum RYA Dayskipper or US 100t license with at least 2 years experience piloting vessels up to 18m length with a general understanding of mechanical engineering. Responsibility will be to share boat duties with other captains, which involves guest & supply transfers, loading and unloading the vessels, boat maintenance, fueling , servicing, cleaning and general resort maintenance.
Bar Tender/Server with a minimum of two years experience working in the Food & Beverage industry. The position would be spread over several departments either working in the main restaurant & bar or our new coffee shop or rum bar. If the second applicant also has a Boat License that would be an advantage. Candidates must be extremely proficient in MICROS or similar POS systems and have a strong background in food, wine & cocktail presentation. The following qualifications would be an advantage: STCW95, Professional Bartending, Responsible Service Of Alcohol, Wine & Wine Paring, Mixology and Baristing. Must be fluent in English, both spoken and written with an excellent telephone manner. Fluency in other languages would be a distinct advantage.
All applicants must be willing to live full-time on the island, working split-shifts, evenings, weekends & public holidays and must be able to live in close quarters with other employees. A one year Work Permit is required for all Nationalities subject to approval by the Labour and Immigration Departments, so if you have a criminal record or major health issues approval will be denied. Package includes - salary, accommodation, employee meals, service charge, gratuities, bonus.
